Intraday Calls

Review of the Last Intraday:

During previous intraday the Nifty moved in a range of 49 points. The Share Bazaar closed 27 points positive at 6063, after making an intraday high and low of 6080 and 6030 respectively. Yesterday, European indices were up. FTSE was up 13 points, CAC was up 40 points, and DAX was up 45 points. US markets were up. Dow Jones closed up 166 points, S&P 500 was up 24 points, and Nasdaq was up by 69 points.

FII and DII Activity in Last Intraday:

On the last trading day, FIIs sold Rs. 267 crores in cash segment while DIIs bought Rs. 627 crores in cash. FIIs purchased Rs. 37 crores in Index futures and FIIs bought Rs. 712 crores in index options. In stock futures FIIs purchased Rs. 565 crores and in stock options FIIs sold Rs. 35 crores. This is the provisional data from NSE. Here you can view final data from SEBI. 

Options Segment Activity:

In f&o market, February series options data tells that, Nifty 6100 call adds 7.8 lac shares and Nifty 6200 call adds 9.4 lac shares. Nifty 6100 put adds 5.3 lac shares and Nifty 6000 put adds 11.4 lac shares. Highest OI of 63 lac shares is at 6200 call and 87 lac shares is at 6000 put. According to options data, bulls/bears are fighting for 6100 levels.

  

Currency Market:

In the currency market the USDINR closed at 62.28. The INR was strong by 0.08 paisa.

Beginning of the Day:

Today morning, Asian markets are trading mix. Nikkei is up 137 points, Hang Seng is down 67 points, Taiwan is up by 52 points, and Kospi is down by 1 point. Here you can find latest detail on world market indices along with intraday charts. SGX Nifty is trading 25 points positive till 7:04 a.m. So we can expect a flat opening.

Today Nifty opened at 6072 up 9 points and made an intraday high of 6083 and low of 6051 till 10:29 a.m. The market should recover after going low by 20-30 points.

For the intraday, till 1:24 p.m. Nifty is down about 2 points. Top gainers for Nifty are DLF, IDFC, and ONGC while losers are HINDUNILVR, TCS, and JPASSOCIAT. Nifty has made an intraday high of 6083 and low of 6046 till 3:11 p.m. Intraday options data tells that, Nifty 6100 call adds 8 lac shares. Nifty 6000 put adds 4.1 lac shares.
