Intraday Calls

Review of the Last Intraday:

During previous intraday the Nifty moved in a range of 51 points. The Share Bazaar closed 64 points positive at 6155, after making an intraday high and low of 6159 and 6108 respectively. Yesterday, European indices were up. FTSE was up 25 points, CAC was up 26 points, and DAX was up 38 points. Dow Jones closed down 30 points, S&P 500 was down 4 points, and Nasdaq was down by 4 points.

FII and DII Activity in Last Intraday:

On the last trading day, FIIs bought Rs. 603 crores in cash segment while DIIs sold Rs. 382 crores in cash. FIIs purchased Rs. 231 crores in Index futures and FIIs bought Rs. 227 crores in index options. In stock futures FIIs bought Rs. 35 crores and in stock options FIIs sold Rs. 85 crores. This is the provisional data from NSE. Here you can view final data from SEBI. 

Options Segment Activity:

In f&o market, February series options data tells that, Nifty 6100 call sheds 3.5 lac shares and Nifty 6200 call sheds 6.9 lac shares. Nifty 6100 put adds 13.4 lac shares. Highest OI of 51 lac shares is at 6200 call and 1.1 crore shares is at 6000 put. According to options data, bulls have upper hand on bears.

  

Currency Market:

In the currency market the USDINR closed at 62.12. The INR was strong by 0.09 paisa.

Beginning of the Day:

Today morning, Asian markets are trading mix. Nikkei is up 67 points, Hang Seng is down 121 points, Taiwan is down by 11 points, and Kospi is down by 3 points. Today Nifty opened at 6140 down 15 points and made an intraday high of 6153 and low of 6130 till 10:46 a.m. Today Nifty should remain volatile.

For the intraday, till 1:13 p.m. Nifty is up about 11 points. Top gainers for Nifty are TATAPOWER, AXISBANK, and LT while losers are NTPC, TATASTEEL, and NMDC.
