Intraday Calls

Review of the Last Intraday:

During previous intraday the Nifty moved in a range of 40 points. The Share Bazaar closed 14 points positive at 6200, after making an intraday high and low of 6216 and 6176 respectively. Yesterday, European indices were down. FTSE was down 35 points, CAC was down 5 points, and DAX was down 10 points. US markets were down. Dow Jones closed down 27 points, S&P 500 was down 2 points, and Nasdaq was down by 5 points.

FII and DII Activity in Last Intraday:

On the last trading day, FIIs bought Rs. 423 crores in cash segment while DIIs sold Rs. 289 crores in cash. FIIs purchased Rs. 1046 crores in Index futures and FIIs bought Rs. 1105 crores in index options. In stock futures FIIs sold Rs. 275 crores and in stock options FIIs bought Rs. 15 crores. This is the provisional data from NSE. Here you can view final data from SEBI. 

Options Segment Activity:

In f&o market, February series options data tells that, Nifty 6250 call adds 14.8 lac shares and Nifty 6200 call sheds 4.5 lac shares. Nifty 6200 put adds 4.8 lac shares. Highest OI of 45.5 lac shares is at 6300 call and 92 lac shares is at 6000 put. According to options data, bulls have upper hand on bears.

  

Currency Market:

In the currency market the USDINR closed at 61.94. The INR was strong by 0.13 paisa.

Beginning of the Day:

Today morning, Asian markets are trading mix. Nikkei is down 43 points, Hang Seng is up 65 points Taiwan is up by 14 points, and Kospi is down by 4 points. Here you can find latest detail on world market indices along with intraday charts. SGX Nifty is trading 2 points negative till 7:10 a.m. So we can expect a flat opening.

Today Nifty opened at 6202 up 2 points and made an intraday high of 6222 and low of 6202 till 11:01 a.m. Today is the expiry of February f&o series.

Mid-day Review:
For the intraday, till 1:06 p.m. Nifty is up about 25 points. Top gainers for Nifty are GAIL, WIPRO, and BPCL while losers are NMDC, TATASTEEL, and SSLT. Intraday Options Data:

Concluding Updates:
