Intraday Calls

Review of the Last Intraday:

During previous intraday the Nifty made a high of 6106 and low 6077. After making an intraday range of 29 points, the Share Bazaar closed up 11 points at 6084. On the last trading day, European indices were up. FTSE was up 2 points, CAC was up 22 point, and DAX was up 61 points. US markets were mix. Dow Jones closed down 31 points, S&P 500 was down 0.49 points, and Nasdaq was up by 10 points.

FII and DII Activity in Last Intraday:

Yesterday, FIIs purchased Rs. 212 crores in cash segment while DIIs sold Rs. 262 crores in cash. FIIs bought Rs. 87 crores in Index futures and FIIs sold Rs. 579 crores in index options. In stock futures FIIs bought Rs. 482 crores and in stock options FIIs sold Rs. 49 crores. This is the provisional data from NSE. Here you can view final data from SEBI.

Options Segment Activity:

In f&o market, February series options data tells that, Nifty 6100 call adds 1.5 lac shares. Nifty 6100 put adds 5.2 lac shares. Maximum 68.2 lac shares are outstanding at 6200 call and 92 lac shares at 6000 put. According to options data, bulls have upper hand on bears.

Currency Market:
In the currency market the USDINR closed at 62.09. The INR was strong by 0.13 paisa.

Beginning of the Day:

Today morning, Asian markets are trading flat. Nikkei is down 106 points, Hang Seng is up 10 points, Taiwan is down by 12 points, and Kospi is down by 1 point. Here you can find latest detail on world market indices along with intraday charts. SGX Nifty is trading 22 points positive till 7:13 a.m. So we can expect a flat opening.

Today Nifty opened at 6087 up 3 points and made an intraday high of 6094 and low of 6063 till 9:55 a.m. The Nifty should break its lower range.

Nifty is at 6.39 down 44 points. Nifty made an intraday high of 6094 and low of 6031 till 12:55 p.m. Top gainers for Nifty are DLF, SSLT, and RANBAXY whereas losers are CIPLA, BANKBARODA, and COALINDIA. Intraday Options Data:

On the options front, Nifty 6100 call adds 9.7 lac shares and 6000 call adds 4 lac shares. Nifty 6000 put adds 8.6 lac shares. According to intraday data of options, Nifty 6000 put and 6200 call have the highest OI. Bulls are making a huge defense at the level of 6000 with 1 crore shares out standing.
