Review of the Last Intra-day:
During previous intraday the Nifty moved in a range of 35 points. The Share Bazaar closed 6 points positive at 6524, after making an intraday high and low of 6541 and 6506 respectively. Yesterday, European indices were mix. FTSE was down 32 points, CAC was down 5 points, and DAX was up 35 points. US markets were also down. Dow Jones closed down 114 points, S&P 500 was down 11 points, and Nasdaq was down by 26 points.
FII and DII Activity in Last Intraday:
On the last trading day, FIIs bought Rs. 1070 crores in cash segment while DIIs sold Rs. 611 crores in cash. FIIs bought Rs. 88 crores in Index futures and FIIs sold Rs. 984 crores in index options. In stock futures FIIs sold Rs. 241 crores and in stock options FIIs sold Rs. 65 crores. This is the provisional data from NSE. Here you can view final data from SEBI.
Options Segment Activity:
In f&o market, March series options data tells that, Nifty 6700 call adds 3.6 lac shares. Nifty 6500 put adds 7.5 lac shares. Highest OI of 52.3 lac shares is at 6600 call and 62.7 lac shares is at 6400 put. According to options data, bulls are making the level of Nifty 6500 as base.
Currency Market:
In the currency market the USDINR closed at 60.95. The INR was strong by 0.24 paisa.
Beginning of the Day:
Today morning, Asian markets are trading down. Nikkei is down 115 points, Hang Seng is down 246 points Taiwan is down by 93 points, and Kospi is down by 16 points. Nifty has made an intraday high of 6523 and low of 6475 till 2:59 p.m. Intraday options data tells that, Nifty 6500 call adds 8.4 lac shares and 6600 call adds 7.7 lac shares. Nifty 6500 put sheds 3.5 lac shares. Highest OI is at 6600 call at 60 lac shares and 6400 put at 68.9 lac shares. The bears are putting pressure on the level of 6500. I have closed all intraday trades. BTST for the day is NIFTY Future bought at 6490 with a S L if 6470 and target of 6530. STBT for the day is none.
