Intraday Calls

Review of the Last Intraday:

During previous intraday the Nifty made a high of 6331 and low 6264. After making an intraday range of 67 points, the Share Bazaar closed down 79 points at 6266. On the last trading day, European indices were down. FTSE was down 110 points, CAC was down 119 point, and DAX was down 239 points. US markets were down. Dow Jones closed down 318 points, S&P 500 was down 38 points, and Nasdaq was down by 91 points.

FII and DII Activity in Last Intraday:

Yesterday, FIIs sold Rs. 231 crores in cash segment and DIIs also sold Rs. 78 crores in cash. FIIs sold Rs. 942 crores in Index futures and FIIs bought Rs. 314 crores in index options. In stock futures FIIs sold Rs. 116 crores and in stock options FIIs sold Rs. 34 crores. This is the provisional data from NSE. Here you can view final data from SEBI.

Options Segment Activity:

In f&o market, January series options data tells that, Nifty 6300 call adds 6.1 lac shares. Nifty 6300 put sheds 22.6 lac shares and 6200 put sheds 9.2 lac shares. Maximum 51.4 lac shares are outstanding at 6400 call and 53.6 lac shares at 6200 put. According to options data, bears have upper hand on bulls. Huge unwinding is seen in put options.   

Currency Market:
In the currency market the USDINR closed at 62.66. The INR was weak by 0.73 paisa.

Beginning of the Day:

Today morning, Asian markets are trading negative. Nikkei is down 407 points, Hang Seng is down 456 points, Taiwan is down by 136 points and Kospi is down by 33 points. Today Nifty opened at 6186 down 80 points and made an intraday high of 6188 and low of 6162 till 10:17 a.m. The market can take support around 6150 levels.
