Intraday Calls

Review of the Last Intraday:

During previous intraday the Nifty made a high of 6280 and low 6234. After making an intraday range of 46 points, the Share Bazaar closed down 31 points at 6242. On the last trading day, European indices were positive. FTSE was up 10 points, CAC was up 11 points, and DAX was up 30 points. US markets were strong. Dow Jones closed up 116 points, S&P 500 was up 20 points, and Nasdaq was up by 70 points.

FII and DII Activity in Last Intraday:

Yesterday, FIIs sold Rs. 261 crores in cash segment and DIIs also sold Rs. 98 crores in cash. FIIs sold Rs. 413 crores in Index futures and FIIs bought Rs. 94 crores in index options. In stock futures FIIs sold Rs. 3 crores and in stock options FIIs purchased Rs. 36 crores. This is the provisional data from NSE. Here you can view final data from SEBI.

Options Segment Activity:

In f&o market, January series options data tells that, Nifty 6400 call adds 4.7 lac shares and 6300 call adds 4.5 lac shares. Nifty 6200 put sheds 1.9 lac shares. Maximum 52.3 lac shares are outstanding at 6300 call and 62.6 lac shares at 6200 put. According to options data, bears are back in action.  

Currency Market:

The currency market was closed.

Beginning of the Day:

Today morning, Asian markets are trading positive. Nikkei is up 280 points, Hang Seng is up 194 points, Taiwan is up by 45 points and Kospi is up by 8 points. Here you can find latest detail on world market indices along with intraday charts. SGX Nifty is trading 16 points positive till 7:06 a.m. So we can expect a positive opening.

Today during the market hours WPI numbers will be there. Today Nifty opened at 6265 up 24 points and made an intraday high of 6286 and low of 6265 till 9:48 a.m. The market may turn weak after WPI data.

For the intraday, till 1:18 p.m. Nifty is up about 50 points. Top gainers for Nifty are NMDC, ICICIBANK, and IDFC while losers are RANBAXY, CAIRN, and LUPIN. Intraday Options Data:
