Intraday Calls

Review of the Last Intraday:

During previous intraday the Nifty moved in a range of 39 points. The Share Bazaar closed 7 points positive at 6345, after making an intraday high and low of 6355 and 6316 respectively. Yesterday, European indices were weak. FTSE was down 53 points, CAC was down 44 points, and DAX was down 89 points. US markets were down. Dow Jones closed down 176 points, S&P 500 was down 16 points, and Nasdaq was down by 24 points.

FII and DII Activity in Last Intraday:

On the last trading day, FIIs bought Rs. 434 crores in cash segment while DIIs sold Rs. 394 crores in cash. FIIs bought Rs. 123 crores in Index futures and FIIs sold Rs. 923 crores in index options. In stock futures FIIs sold Rs. 96 crores and in stock options FIIs sold Rs. 10 crores. This is the provisional data from NSE. Here you can view final data from SEBI. 

Options Segment Activity:

In f&o market, January series options data tells that, Nifty 6500 call adds 3.7 lac shares and 6300 call sheds 2.3 lac shares. Nifty 6200 put sheds 4.6 lac shares and 6300 put add 6.8 shares. Highest OI of 54.5 lac shares is at 6500 call and 69.7 lac shares is at 6300 put. According to options data, Bulls have upper hand on bears. 

  

Currency Market:

In the currency market the USDINR closed at 61.92. The INR was weak by 0.11 paisa.

Beginning of the Day:

Today morning, Asian markets are trading down. Nikkei is down 238 points, Hang Seng is down 172 points Taiwan is up by 4 points and Kospi is down by 12 points. Today Nifty opened at 6301 down 43 points and made an intraday high of 6331 and low of 6294 till 9:51 a.m. Today market may recover from its lows.

Mid-day Review:

For the intraday, till 1:09 p.m. Nifty is down about 60 points. Top gainers for Nifty are WIPRO, TCS, and RELIANCE while losers are RANBAXY, AMBUJACEM, and JPASSOCIAT.
