Intraday Calls

Review of the Last Intraday:

During previous intraday the Nifty moved in a range of 71 points. The Nifty closed 27 points negative at 6291, after making an intraday high and low of 6344 and 6273 respectively. Yesterday, European indices were down. FTSE was down 20 points, CAC was down 2 points, and DAX was down by 37 points. US markets were mix. Dow Jones closed up 26 points, S&P 500 was down 0.33 points, and Nasdaq was down by 4 points.

FII and DII Activity in Last Intraday:

On the last trading day, FIIs bought Rs. 116 crores in cash segment while DIIs sold Rs. 207 crores in cash. FIIs sold Rs. 42 crores in Index futures and FIIs bought Rs. 694 crores in index options. In stock futures FIIs bought Rs. 35 crores and in stock options FIIs sold Rs. 28 crores.

Options Segment Activity:

In f&o market, January series options data tells that, Nifty 6500 call adds 5.3 lac shares and have highest OI at 44 lac shares. Nifty 6300 put have the highest OI at 34 lac shares.   

  

Currency Market:

In the currency market the USDINR closed at 61.91. The INR was strong by 0.06 paisa.

Beginning of the Day:

Today morning, Asian markets are trading flat. Today Nikkei is closed, Hang Seng is up 64 points Taiwan is up by 3 points and Kospi is closed. Here you can find latest detail on world market indices along with intraday charts. SGX Nifty is trading 30 points positive till 7:13 a.m. So we can expect a flat opening.

Today Nifty opened at 6307 up 16 points and made an intraday high of 6317 and low of 6287 till 10:12 a.m. The market should remain in a small range.

Mid-day Review:

For the intraday, till 1:03 p.m. Nifty is up about 2 points. Top gainers for Nifty are IDFC, TATAPOWER, and TCS while losers are BHEL, MARUTI, and JINDALSTEL. Intraday Options Data:
On the options front, Nifty 6400 call adds 4.3 lac shares and 6300 put add more than 5.6 lac shares. Intraday data of options tells that, highest OI is at 6300 put and 6500 call. Full detail of Nifty options can be viewed here.

The market is dull and it is difficult to find a trade in large cap shares. The activity is in midcap and small cap stocks.
