Intraday Calls

Review of the Last Intra-day:

During previous intraday the Nifty moved in a range of 85 points. The Share Bazaar closed 11 points positive at 6504, after making an intraday high and low of 6518 and 6432 respectively. Yesterday, European indices were up. FTSE was up 40 points, CAC was up 56 points, and DAX was up 124 points. US markets were also up. Dow Jones closed up 182 points, S&P 500 was up 18 points, and Nasdaq was up by 35 points.

FII and DII Activity in Last Intraday:

On the last trading day, FIIs bought Rs. 982 crores in cash segment while DIIs sold Rs. 866 crores in cash. FIIs sold Rs. 679 crores in Index futures and FIIs bought Rs. 440 crores in index options. In stock futures FIIs sold Rs. 568 crores and in stock options FIIs sold Rs. 28 crores. This is the provisional data from NSE. Here you can view final data from SEBI. 

Options Segment Activity:

In f&o market, March series options data tells that, Nifty 6600 call adds 1.9 lac shares. Nifty 6500 put sheds 2.4 lac shares. Highest OI of 48.3 lac shares is at 6600 call and 63.2 lac shares is at 6400 put. According to options data, bulls/bears activity is concentrated on the level of 6500.

  

Currency Market:

In the currency market the USDINR closed at 61.19. The INR was weak by 0.02 paisa.

Beginning of the Day:

Today morning, Asian markets are trading positive. Nikkei is up 178 points, Hang Seng is up 31 points Taiwan is up by 21 points, and Kospi is up by 7 points. Here you can find latest detail on world market indices along with intraday charts. SGX Nifty is trading 11 points positive till 7:09 a.m. So we can expect a flat opening. 

Today Nifty opened at 6532 up  28 points and made an intraday high of 6574 and low of 6531 till 11:22 a.m. The Nifty should face resistance on the higher levels.

Mid-day Review:
Nifty is at 6510 up 6 points. Nifty made an intraday high of 6574 and low of 6509 till 1:43 p.m. Top gainers for Nifty are MARUTI, JINDALSTEL, and INDUSINDBK whereas losers are TATAMOTORS, DLF, and HDFC. Intraday Options Data:

Nifty has made an intraday high of 6574 and low of 6497 till 2:55 p.m. Intraday options data tells that, Nifty 6600 call adds 8.7 lac shares. Nifty 6600 put adds 3 lac shares.
