Intraday Calls

On the previous trading day the NIFTY closed at 6123 down 80 points. High for the day was 6204 and the low for the day was 6107. Total range for the day was 97 points. Last evening, European indices were mix. FTSE was down 17 points, CAC was down 4 points, and DAX was up 9 points. US markets were down. Dow Jones closed down 66 points, Nasdaq was down by 10 points and S&P 500 was down by 7 points.

Yesterday, FII's bought Rs. 80 crores in cash segment whereas DII's sold Rs.284 crores in cash. FII's sold Rs. 172 crores in Index futures and bought Rs. 1135 crores in index options. In stock futures FII's sold Rs. 523 crores and in stock options FII's sold Rs. 78 crores. 

In NIFTY options segment, 6200 put shed 21 lac shares after the break of support of 6190 in NIFTY Future. 6100 put also shed 5.6 lac shares. Whereas 6200 and 6100 calls adds 5 lac and 4.57 lac shares respectively. 

Today morning, Asian markets are trading negative exepct Nikkei (up 260 points), Hang Seng down 90 points Taiwan down by 75 points and Kospi by 17 points. Here you can find latest detail on world market indices. SGX NIFTY is trading 28 points negative till 7:15 a.m. so a negative opening in our market can be expected.

Today NIFTY opened at 6096 down 27 points. High for the day till 9:40 a.m. is 6097 and low is 6048. Some recovery can be expected.

NIFTY is down about 100 points. Top gainers for NIFTY are GAIL, HINDALCO, and MARUTI with minor gains and losers are AXISBANK, JPASSOCIAT, and PNB. On the options front, NIFTY 6100 call adds 20 lac shares and 6200 and 6000 calls also add more than 10 lac shares. 6200 put shed 8.4 lac shares and 5900 put adds 5.7 lac shares. Putting all the things together, I think we are going to make a low below 5972, that we have made a few days back. But we may be able to defend 5900 till expiry. There is no recovery in NIFTY. It has made a low of 6001 till 3:02 p.m. Options data further suggests that the next support for NIFTY is around 5900. Because 6100 call adds 27 lac shares, 6200 call adds 15 lac shares, and 6000 call adds 22 lac shares. 6200 put sheds 10 lac shares and 5900 put adds 10 lac shares. I have closed all Intraday trades.
